Something worth reading from Crapzano. Doesnt happen to often! http://www.oregonlive.com/sports/or...f/2009/12/canzano_while_james_and_jacqui.html
I have a hard time with non-violent criminals being locked up for that long for dealing drugs. We let violent people out and leave someone to rot for dealing? Give me a break. Stupid. It would be so much cheaper to put him through some type of rehab program... assist them with a law abiding way to make a living.
Wow, is there something more important than sports? Thanks for sharing that, Canzano, you've only written the same fucking story a hundred times before!
Not only the priors, but it seems like the biggest part of the sentencing wasn't the dealing, but dealing within a school zone.
Yeah, I read it yesterday I think, and was confused. Am I supposed to feel bad for the guy? Not only was he dealing crack in a school zone, but he was also doing it with kids living in his house. Well, fuck you buddy. I think a lot of our drug laws are probably too strict, and in general think that I would prefer violent offenders in jail over drug dealers, but I'm not going to feel bad for someone that threw his chances away. And talked about being a father by mentioning them giving his kids money for mowing the lawn, and taking them shoe shopping. Wow. Great dad!
I agreee BP... he did have all kinds of prior shit... but seriously... would you rather gave him in jail over a rapist or home invader? After all this time for criminal punishment and jail and picking up trash on the side of the road is all we can come up with? Then we let them out with flags on their record that prohibit them from getting a job or decent place to live and wonder why they have to go back to crime. What danger is he to me compared to a carjacker? He is no danger to me unless I am dumb enough to buy drugs from him. The school zone crap is a joke... every place is just about a school zone... I live in one. Was he selling drugs to kids? Then fucking lock him up... but I seriously doubt that. I don't know... I just think if we got a bunch of college students in a classroom for a few weeks and had them brainstorm up a new correctional plan... that they would come up with something far better than what we have. Sometimes we are like a huge freaking tug boat and we can't change direction. In all seriousness... you know a lot of our Drs deal all kinds of shit to just about anyone who makes up a backache. I swear that once I felt my Dr was trying to push on me. How much difference is the DR dealing valium than a corner drug dealer? OK... so a lot maybe... but there is a little point there. =)
