They decided to throw foam fingers and I think water bottles as well on the court. Talk about stubborn little sore losers.
Watching the game on ESPN. Cavs are spanking the Lakers in LA. Kobe, Phil, Odom, & co. are complaining about every call. Odom gets tossed and the LA fans give him a standing ovation, then Phil Jackson gets a T, then the crown starts throwing their foam "#1" fingers on the floor and they had to stop the game.
Its nice to see the Lakers not getting every call for once. Shows what spoiled brats the Lakers and their fans are.
not only do they lose on xmas day on national tv but the fans also embar the whole city... amazing. still, couldn't happen to a more deserving group of people.
Lakersground.net had a hilarious post about the NBA being similar to the WWE in that the NBA wants their face (LeBron) to win. The refs are against them, apparently. Should we bring up the quotes from Donaghy and how the 2000 WCF were influenced more by the refs? I love hypocrisy
They aren't used to that - you can tell. Got me wondering if the league wasn't trying to send a message. With all the ruckus over TD's book about Kobe being given star treatment, is it possible they want to show everybody on the big stage (X-Mas Day/Lakers vs the Cavs/Kobe vs Lebron) that Kobe DOESN'T get all the calls? There were a lot of whistles that he normally gets that he didn't get tonight. And he was a mad little camper! lol. So was Phil. They interviewed him right before the 4th period and he said he would like to express his thoughts on the game but he didn't want to get fined, then he made some comment about Kobe being "throw to the floor every play". Little dramatic, don't ya' think PJ? Sure was fun to watch those guys melt down when the whistles didn't go their way.
I was thinking of the water bottles that Portland fans threw on the court after Pat Riley benched his starters back in 1990 or 91. I do remember the Bill Walton dolls..what was the pizza reference from?
