Starting NBA center and a nice backup. Could slide LMA and Howard to Center at times. With this trade i think the Blazers finish top4 and make it out of the first round.
BTW: Dalembert has a PER of 16.9, would be third highest on the Blazers, and Pryz's PER was 11.9 Dalembert > Pryz offensively, and Pryz might be slightly better defensively, maybe
Take out one of Blake or Outlaw. The trade is still possible financially, and saves Philly more money, giving them more reason to pull the trigger.
How would they save more money? i guess i dont know how many is paid out on these contracts, is it monthly, yearly? cause if it was monthly then yea they would save maybe 1 million more, but is 1 mil that much money for them?
dalembert is a great rebounder as well, he is right behind pryz in rebound rating. he would be a steal imo we should have done this yesterday if possible.
um because they wouldnt have to pay the rest of blake or outlaws salary, in addition to the money they would save taking back less than they gave out.
They would save mroe money by taking in less salary than they are giving out, as opposed to more. Dalembert is currently making roughly 12 million. Your trade has us sending out about 14.5. An extra 2.5 million in salary. Figuring half the season is gone, it's still an additional million and a quarter. If you adjust it and take out Outlaw, they give out 1.2 million more than they take back, or roughly 600,000 for the rest of the season. So the total savings for them on the deal is close to 2 million dollars. We can say 2 million isn't all that much, but on a player like Outlaw who likely won't play for them all season, whyw oudl they bother, when they can keep it simple, and get more savings?

I had heard once before that some were paid ina lump sum. I would imagine, though, that money would have to exchange hands to cover the differences if that was in fact the case.
I know you guys mean well, but over the years, let's put it this way, I am just not a Samual Dalambert fan. He has a questionable "motor" and despite your PERS evaluation, I just don't view him as that good of a player. While a decent shot blocker, he has problems when facing bangers who can body up on him. IMO, Portlands biggest problem in the middle is exactly that. We don't have a player who is hard to move in the middle. That is why I favor Brandan Haywood of the Wizards if were going to make a deal. He is bigger, and has more mass to move.

I remember a game a few years ago when Sheed was rumored to be going to Dallas for Antawn Jamison and someone... and the teams were late coming out, and no one knew who the hell was gonna be on which team, and rumors were running rampant, I was pretty excited, even though I loved Sheed lol.
I imagine Haywood is harder to get, since he is an expiring himself. Washigton doesn't have a ton of reason to move him for just expirings. I understand Dalembert isn't going to shut down bangers, but neither is Juwan howard. We've primarily put Aldridge on those guys recently, and he's looked alright going against them. Having a decent shot blocker in there to protect the rim even a tiny bit would be nice. I know Haywood can blcok shots as well, but again, he's going to be a lot harder to get from them. If it was between no trade, or moving Blake or Outlaw and Joel for Dalembert, would you choose no trade?

Well here we go again. PERS isn't all about scoring points. Its about stuff like rebounding as well. The guy averages a little over 7 points a game. That is like 3 baskets and a free throw. So if that is your idea of best post player on the team, I think you might want to actually watch a guy play a little more before making such a statement.
