Was very funny. Tom Hanks, Steve Carell, Will Ferrell, Neil Young, Beck, and others were on hand. They had a montage that ended with "To Be Continued" which hopefully is an indicator that the show will be back on (with Fox or another channel) in the fall. The final bit was a memorable rendition of Freebird with Ferrell (in character) on vocals and Conan picking up a guitar to play along. Conan was also mindful of the telethons going on for Haiti and repeatedly brought up a website to visit and make donations as he has all week. Here is Conan's farewell (for now):
I hope Conan ends up on ABC, he can do the 11:05-12:05 and be the lead in to Kimmel. Or Letterman can retire and let Conan host. Conan then Craig Ferguson would be the an awesome combo.
I honest felt like it was one of the best moments in TV history, maybe the best I remember. I was at a party and we all stopped and watched the whole hour, and we all loved it.
