It's a new day. Things have changed. If you have no nude pictures, don't bother to put any up.

    Batum is an absolute baller.

In my mind most important to the franchise behind Roy and Oden.

I know its only been 2 games, but hot damn he has been impressive! I cant help but think he could be a Scottie Pippen type stud for us. I'd love to see him get 30 min a game sooner rather than later.

This. Martell's had a nice month and I like him, but I don't think he has the mental makeup to be a starting SF on a championship-caliber team. He can get hot, but he presses easy and often, and then it becomes ugly. Batum on the other hand is fearless, and has shown the potential that he can become a star on both ends of the floor. Martell could become a good backup wing, too bad he doesn't really have the mindset it takes for a shooter to come off the bench and be consistent.

Welcome to the Batum bandwagon. There are lots of us drooling over Nic's potential since last year.

No doubt. He's been in my Fantastic Four, team cornerstone, untradeable list since early last season. He is special. Nothing he does surprises me, including his improved shot (which I expected), but it's almost a shock seeing a Blazer play like that at this point.

At least there is one good thing to take from last night's game.

I am totally impressed with his offensive game so far. He is looking like that kid we watched guide France while Tony Parker was out this summer. Confident and balling.

My question is, can he become a #2 scorer? We need one.

so he was handling the ball well last night, shooting well from deep and in penetration, guarding Deron being Deron; why is this guy not our PG? :)

Next season there is a possibility we could have Bayless (or a new PG) with Roy and with Batum as a 'point forward.' That should get us some pretty good ball handling and ball movement, when we aren't going ICE that is.

Plus, starting Bayless and Batum, with Greg back, gives us a pretty good defensive unit.

He handled some of the backup pg duties for Team France this past summer. I would really love to see the Blazers bring in Pippen from time to time to work with Batum.

Hell the Blazers should have brought in Pippen to work with Outlaw during the summer years ago.

He actually took over while Tony Parker was hurt during the qualifying round of the tournament and led France very well. That is when his offensive game really took off.

I was very impressed with Batum last year and wondered if Martell could get near what Nic did last year when Nic went down. Martell has done very well this year. Problem is, Nic has come back and what I've seen so far is 2x (or more) what he was last year which means Martell is still playing catchup.

Nic is looking more and more like one of those great late-round steals. Love having him back.

    Gramps...

What is the use in wondering when he is back. He is back when he is back.

Can't we talk about more than one subject? It's ok to recognize both the good and the bad. Try it, you might like it. :)
