If you can win championships with players like Rasho Nesterovic, a washed-up Horace Grant, Mario Elie or Kevin Grevey, that in itself proves how overrated the center, power forward, small forward and shooting guard positions are.
No, the Spurs had a revolving door at center. Duncan has been their power forward. I thought you had the NBA TV package? The Lakers had Gasol at power forward. Bynum is a "great center?" Really? Good luck with that one. He's a high upside player, but he's not great and he was terrible in playoffs last year.
Your logic is pretty weak. I guess Jordan, as easily the top shooting guard in the league, proved in the early part of the career that great shooting guards can't win titles...until he had Pippen on his team, then suddenly he proved that great shooting guards can win titles. And Tony Parker is every bit as good as Nash or Williams. Has Parker won any championships?
I didn't forget him. Do you really think he was "great" when he won his title? He was on the downhill side of his career and was merely solid by that point, IMO.
I don't know where to find individual points in the paint stats, but it seems like Miller gets his fair share of points in the paint, especially for a PG. Go Blazers
If you can win multiple championships with Luc Longley at center, that proves center is an overrated position. BNM
Hard to say. His first championship he was playing with Timmy, so I'm not sure if he was still a great scorer and he was deferring, or if he had slid that that point.
And the best centers have been Dwight Howard and Yao Ming. How many championships have they won? The best small forwards have been Lebron James and Carmelo Anthony. How many championships have they won? Your arguments just keep getting more and more ridiculous. BNM
Duncan has always been the Spurs' center since Robinson retired. He's a power forward only on the media guide.
Uh...okay. And Kobe Bryant has always been the Lakers' point guard and initiator. He's an off guard only in their media guide. We're still back to guards who can run the team's offense being highly valuable. Yay for us having Miller, it seems?
In a thread discussing why we signed Andre Miller, yes VERY ridiculous. Rather than admit you may have been wrong about Andre Miller ("The dude is not that good") you just keep changing the subject and avoiding the facts. The facts are Andre Miller is a good player. Not a superstar, not even an all-star, but a good player. His individual stats have been very good since he was moved into his natural role as starting PG, and even more importantly he is helping this team win games in spite of a roster depleted by injuries and a very tough schedule. That's why we signed him. BNM
this shit is getting old. I can't stand when people on here either can't admit when they are wrong or just argue to argue. This thread has the poster who's name I won't say but rhymes with DICKS-IN name all over it.
