Yep, that's the team we root for. Awful. That's a fundamental problem. Not some byproduct, its a pure reflection of the offense that Nellie is running. Only reason I look at the box score these days is to see what Curry did.

I know. That's a weird stat because you'd think the way Maggette dishes the rock, our team would lead the league in assists!?

When I watch teams like the Jazz, Lakers, and Suns I just wonder why us? Those teams pass the ball, everyone touches it, and most importantly all 5 players have a role, setting a screen, making a dive cut, something. There is no one just planted 30 feet from the rim on the weakside to occupy a defender.

Oversimplification, but true: Selfish Owners hire selfish GMs, which hire selfish Coaches, which teach selfish play.

Mullin was the kink in the armor, which disrupted the chain. They removed him and replaced him with a selfish GM, and it became a horribly selfish organization from top down.

Wow. I never compare the Warriors to those teams. I was just comparing them to the Nets after reading about assistant Del Harris bailing on them. They're the worst team in the league (they're in the East ferchrissakes!), but:

    1. At least, they're bringing in a new owner and he's a billionaire.
    2. Their assistant coach knows when to bail. I start wondering how "smart" Keith Smart is.
    3. They're debating whether to keep Rod Thorn or not. Do you really have to debate this?
    4. I was thinking their coach Kiki Vandeweigh would be an upgrade to Rowell/Nelson/Riley as GM or coach for our team.

    EDIT:
Bobcats are another team, I'd compare the Warriors to.
The ownership bid of George Postolos in Charlotte promises a massive overhaul of the organization, and league sources expect that should the former Houston Rockets president take over the franchise two of his top candidates for general manager will be San Antonio Spurs assistant GM Dennis Lindsey and Rockets assistant GM Sam Hinkie.

Should Postolos take over, several league executives wonder whether Bobcats coach Larry Brown would use the ownership change as a way to free himself for a possible return to the Philadelphia 76ers. No one is sure about the fates of Sixers GM Ed Stefanski and coach Eddie Jordan should the team continue to struggle, but Brown has kept a good relationship with owner Ed Snider and his family is still living in Philly during the season.

League executives say between now and then Brown is determined to move point guard D.J. Augustin(notes) for a veteran big man. Michael Jordan and Rod Higgins wanted to draft Brook Lopez(notes) with the ninth pick in 2008, but Brown demanded they pass on the center for Augustin. Bobcats management had gone so far to tell Lopez’s agents they were picking him.
