By the way, great move by Nate to sub Webster in for Rudy.

Yeah. Guess the bad shooting wasn't due to Batum's return. It looks like he was just cold for a few games. Even Rudy is in a slump- bad shooting for 4 straight games now. I hope Webster can continue his hot shooting and Rudy can bust out of the slump.

Don't forget the old guy (Howard); 5 for 5, 8 rebounds and pretty decent defense on Duncan.

    Howard was 5-5 for 10 points and 8 rebounds. I didn't realize he didn't miss a shot.

True dat. Rudy was as cold as Webster was hot. One made all his 3 point attempts and the other missed them all. Nate wasn't stubborn with his substitution pattern and rode the hot hand to the finish.

Yeah. Howard played smart and well. Credit to the whole team. I didn't really expect a win, but all our guys played hard and never gave up.

Loved the game on TNT, always fun to win on national TV, had to give my tix for free as a tip for a barista, hopefully she'll remember me in the future. Damn these family functions and a prego sister-in-law always screwing with my blazer games!

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Hopefully, Aldridge is starting to turn his season around. For all the positive player development (Batum, Bayless), Aldridge's regression/stagnation is/was a real worry.

Great win! Too bad I had to watch it in my hotel room in Sacramento instead of in person, but enjoyed it nonetheless! Martell and LA were huge - and the defense in the last 6 minutes was phenomenal.

    just a few thoughts....

Rudy is so bad right now. His three doesnt fall anymore and hes a turnover machine.

What the hell happened to bayless now?

Miller did everything he could to lose this game for us.

    Howard and Cunningham were solid.

    LA was excellent.

    Webby!!!!!!!!!

Batum has come back to earth head first. He sucked tonight.

and what the hell has happened to this forum??? this was a national televised game yet its barely had 3 pages for the game lol?

    Means 1 of 2 things....

    1. Blazers had a lot of bandwagon fans like Maginifier. Hes a perfect example. Dude posted about 50 times a day and then ran for the hills when oden got hurt.

    2. Nobody thinks we can win anymore? Kingspeed has been missing as well.

I dont know but its very odd.

I think this is the right one. Not everyone is as good as you at resisting making angry snap-judgments.

I wish people had your balanced outlook and realized that this team can, indeed, win games.

If only we all had the restrain and patience to look at all things in a logical and well-thought out manner like Mixum.

Rudy missed more shots then he normally does, but he was the sparkplug that kept us in the game early on, especially in transition.

Miller missed a couple free throws, happens in the NBA sometimes. He was hitting big shots in the 4th when we needed him and has been great late in games, I'll give the guy a pass if he misses a couple free throws.

Batum sucked tonight? He spent a lot of time guarding Tony Parker who was afraid to drive on him and settled for jumpers he happened to hit when Batum was off balance expecting Parker's patented drive to the basket. I thought he looked good, just didn't look to score very often, he was still 50% from the field and showed a couple times that he knows how to make the right pass when needed. Of course, tomorrow it will be Batum's time to shine and he'll go off for 20 and you'll be all over his nuts. Webster will go 1-9 from the field and you'll say how much Webster sucks and that Kpee should of made a trade.

Your as predictable as tomorrows sunrise.

RE the Game Thread "Attendance," maybe a fourth factor might be that since the game was televised nationally on TNT, everyone who doesn't get ComSuck was finally able to get comfortable on their couch and watch a freaking Blazers game the way god intended without having to sit in front of their computer watching a choppy internet feed?

    F-U ComSuck!

    Go Blazers!!

Nice come from behind win last night by your team. I couldn't believe how well Juwan Howard was defending Duncan and pushing him off the block. Martell Webster was huge once again for you guys down the stretch in a big game.

I was at the game last night - and Batum had fantastic defense in the 2nd half. Just fantastic. I think Nate said after the game that the only one he did not put Batum on was Popovich.

Webster did very well when he hit the open 3s, where he still struggles is when he tries to drive into the defense. Good game from him as well.

LMA is as usual turning into a beast around the all-star game.
