She had that thing going with her boyfriend the whole time, so she feigned fatigue for you. Except initially, when you had 2 babies. There must have been a spark back then.
My mom doesn't have a job and she hasn't most of my parents' marriage. She raised me and my three brothers while my dad worked one job for the last 22 years. We live very comfortably with all the healthcare we could need. That said, if I could be a stay at home dad in the future, I would do it in a heartbeat.
As a dad to a 1.5 year old... I can say that on days like today where I am the stay at home day (wife is working) it is about impossible to get anything done except when she is napping. She really can't be unsupervised for a minute. She can now get over baby gates and things like that (though she won't if you are watching) I always think it is going to be so great and then by the time my wife gets home I am going crazy. Just not wired for it.
With my family's welfare on the line, I wouldn't put too much stock in that assurance. Just ask all the Portland businesses Paul left hanging with his "bankruptcy" lol.
I would totally be a stay at home dad. In fact, I would love to have a job that allowed me to spend as much time as possible with my family (when I get one). I am not at all threatened by a woman who makes more money than me (as long as she buys me nice things!)
One of the reasons I am self employed is for this reason. I only get to have kids at home for a short time if you look at it in the long run, so I work at home 2x a week or so when the wife is working. I pick up the kids from school, etc. It's great. I think it would be hard to do full time, but being with them a lot is the best.
I would definitely love to stay home and take care of my son (and perhaps another child on the way, we'll see ), but I know that will most likely never happen. I love my wife, but she has far less ambition than me. We're doing all right as it is, but I'm trying to get out of the service at the earliest possible date, so all those benefits are going to disappear until I finish college. My job is too irregular and demanding to let me go to school right now. Anyone know any place that's interested in someone fluent in Chinese in the Portland area?
He was an engineer for a printer company but now his title is Vice President. I'm not sure exactly what his job entails though.
Nah, that really isn't my cup of tea... Then again, I guess I could make lots of cups of tea... WAIT A MINUTE!
