KP says that other GM's are interested in two players, both of them on their rookie contracts and he also seems to say that these two (in his mind) are approaching the untouchable status.

Well, one for sure is Batum and I guess the other has to be Bayless or Rudy; I'm a little surprised that around the league there is a clear consensus that one is a lot better than the other. Also to me, neither is approaching the untouchable status, I would include either in a trade for David Lee or Andres Biedrins, just to name two who could help the Blazers longterm.

    I would bet Bayless.

My guess would be Bayless and Batum or maybe Rudy and Batum ... but one of them is definitely Batum.

    Yep.

If JB can pull off some more 30 point games, refs are going to start giving him the benefit of the doubt on whistles. At that point he'll be a poor man's Dwyane Wade, charging into the middle and drawing fouls at a ridiculous rate.

I think Rudy has lost a lot of his luster since Roy went down. He's good, and he'll only get better, but his defense, frailty and mediocre handle have been exposed.

It's hard to say. I know the only rumor that actually mentioned names was the Rudy and Batum for Haywood. Also, I would think New York and Toronto might value Rudy higher because of their playing styles and maybe their cosmopolitan fan bases.

It's Rudy and Batum. Bayless has been way too inconsistent this year for him to be a real target for any teams.

It's not Rudy. KP loves Bayless. Everyone loves Batum. Batum is untouchable in my book. Bayless is not near untouchable to me but I don't see another rookie scale player on the team it could be other than Batum and BRexxx.

It's gotta be Batum and Bayless.

It's Batum and Bayless. But I'm surprised Rudy isn't in the mix.

Right. Other GMs have seen Rudy against the "redeem team".

Bayless is just another gunning tweener. They're a dime a dozen. Have you heard any rumor ever of a team asking for Bayless? Exactly. Whereas we've heard just recently of Washington, at least, trying hard to get Fernandez.

However, neither of them are doing anything to pump up their trade value at the moment, that's for sure.

Batum and Rudy. I don't think Bayless entices other teams as much as those other. Tweeners who can score are not that hard to find, but a marketable player like Rudy and an intelligent and athletically gifted player like Nic are not so easily attainable.

Rudy will bounce back; he's just temporarily lost his swag right now. If his game from the ACB or even last year as a Blazer are any indication, he'll beast it up once he gets healthy.

It appears I may have answered the wrong question. I think other GMs are after Batum, Rudy and Bayless, in that order. I think KP values Batum, Bayless and Rudy, in that order. Bayless still has to prove he's more than an inconsistent tweener who gets blocked a lot. If Bayless improves again next year as much as he did this year, he will pass Rudy.

I thought it was pretty obvious that it was Batum & Rudy.....

    Bayless is a distant 3rd.

All three are productive, and all three have different strengths.

I'm postive that Batum is one of two, since he has length, can defend, and is young.

So, that means it is between Rudy and Bayless.

Rudy: 13.5 PER this year, minimal defense, and 24 years old.

Bayless: 15.2 PER this year, average defense, and 21 years old.

Tough call. I'd be more apt to let Rudy go in a trade, simply because it is easier to bring a tweener like Bayless off of the bench as opposed to a SG like Rudy. Plus, I don't see Rudy wanting to be Brandon Roy's back up for the next 8-10 years.
