There were far too many "haters" here. Travis is a great kid and a heck of a baller. Remember when he got here? The only thing worse than his hoop skills were his interviews! With a lot of help from the team, he turned himself into a beloved member of Blazers, a heck of a player, and a clutch shooter.

That shot to start the 13 game win streak is my favorite Travis memory.

Thanks amigo, you will be missed!

My favorite Travis memory is the one-on-one shot to beat Atlanta in the middle of the win streak. That was simply fantastic. I really liked the guy and thought without sadness that he'd retire a Blazer. I wish him only the best, and will miss him.

    Repped for starting this thread.

I don't think I fully appreciated TO until he got injured. We missed his punch off the bench. A good guy, too.

I love Trav. This will be one of the hardest trades to accept, but the TEAM needs it. We are a TEAM, not a bunch of guys. that we have crushes on.

I like ya Trav, but this is better for the team. Besides, I bet we have him back next year lol

I just chimed in on another thread. Since you started this one I will say this. Travis was my families favorite player. We will really miss him and wish him nothing but the best! I'm very thankful I was able to get a picture taken with him and my newborn son while he was a Blazer. That picture was taken at the practice facility thanks to ABM getting the board a tour. So, I better give some thanks to ABM.

Love Travis. His ability to create a shot for himself no matter why is very very underrated. I think that it was also one of the reasons we were so good offensively last couple of years. A play breaks, time is running out, you throw it to Travis and he puts it in at a very respectable rate no matter how dire the situation looks.

We are nowhere near as good offensively this year - part of it is clearly the offensive rebounds that are lost with Greg and Joel going down - but a big part of it was Travis's relief valve ability.

Good luck to Travis where-ever he goes - he is a good guy and a much better player than people give him credit for. I will always be a fan of his.

He's a nice guy to have on the bench. If he's hot enough to offset his mental lapses, you leave him in. If he's not, you pull the plug.

He was the most athletic leaper perhaps in Blazers' history. Shame he couldn't work it into his game more (besides his jumpshot).

He made an amazing amount of progress on his jumper over his career here, from non-existent to somewhat lethal.

Outlaw was tremendous at creating his own shot... and although they looked like low-percentage shots, he made them at a respectable clip.

He hit several big shots for us, always seemed like a good guy, and I am interested to see how he does both in free agency and with his next team...

Listening to Jason Quick right now, it sounds like the Clippers are really high on Outlaw and are hoping to keep him beyond this season. Likely the reason they took this deal, since the end result is basically the same for them in terms of contracts.

    Thanks for the tidbit.

They were really high on Thornton, too, and we saw how he worked out. :) Of course, Thornton is older than Outlaw, and some of us knew how limited his upside was, but... it's the Clippers. The Clippers were also high on Korolev. They gave away Zach Randolph. Etc. Not sure an endorsement from the Clippers would be a good thing...

It will be interesting to see what he does in a more up-tempo game. I hope for his sake he doesn't stay with the Clippers. :)

I loved Outlaw. Got way too much grief for being what he was, but we needed to thin things out and with Batum, Webster, and Cunningham (and Outlaw) we just had too many for one position. This is a short term trade, but one that really needed to be made. And really, a very good one as long as Camby comes in and plays hard, which despite his displeasure at being traded, I think he will.

Wouldn't mind seeing you back with the Blazers some day Trout, if we have a place for you.

Good luck in LA, and tear it up, as long as your not playing the Blazers.

I can't believe that in three years Outlaw will be a '10-year vet'

I remember watching his HS highlights when we drafted him like it was yesterday.

Travis was never going to get more than a backup role here. He might at least have a shot at starting in LA. I hope he does.
