Wow, you people are planning on hating someone. Why not just WATCH THE GAME HAPPY (!) and not worry about who to hate?

If you spent less time yelling at the unfortunate maybe you would have the time to go fix your cynicism detector.

:dunno: You can't really "hate" a scrub just for being a scrub.

You may want them off the court, or even off the team, but you can't really get emotional about the whole thing. A really good emotional investment requires a player who is good enough to actually set you up for major disappointment.

Nate is the new lightning rod.

The folks who don't like B-Roy can feel free to root for a different team.

I think (and HOPE!) that it's Nate. That it might be Aldridge or Bayless kinda bums me out.

Ideally, it would be no one, but... the team is going to lose occasionally, and heads will have to roll (or at least be chopped away at) on the board. :)

    Designated Scapegoat?

So, with the trading of the two most popular scapegoats I'm not sure who the new designated scapegoat(s) should be.

Just based on people's comments, here is my contender list:

    Nate
He seems to be a polarizing figure with some people supporting him as a good coach and others thinking he just doesn't cut the mustard. No denying he's done well with all the injuries we've had but things seemed in fair disarray before we started having players dropping like rocks.

    Webster
Improved overall game but his offensive inconsistency rankles some.

    LMA
Again, consistency is the issue - not consistently living up to the all-star production that many hope/expect. Sometimes seems to not want to mix it up inside and floats outside too much.

    Roy
People complained about him "taking the summer off" and not working on his game (trying to let his body heal?). Then he goes and let's himself get hurt. How thoughtless of our only all-star.

    KP
He traded Sergio - 'nuff said. If we still had Sergio it wouldn't matter that we had all these injuries, we'd still be challenging for the best record in the NBA.

Perhaps, novel thought here, the Blazers have finally moved beyond having a designated scapegoat?

    /Sarcasm

    Gramps...

I don't know, but I do think that GrandpaBlaze is a pretty polarizing figure, so I nominate him. ;)

I'll go with the Blazers medical and training staff. Or Nate, for pushing Roy to play through his injury. This has bad news written all over it.
