You know, it's funny how people lament the fact that we passed on Blair, but I think KP equally fucked up by not drafting Casspi. Think if we had taken Blair and Casspi.

All joking aside, I think Pritchard was looking for a talent that didn't want to come over this season. We already had too many guys on the roster, AND Freeland/Koponen waiting in the wings. Even still, as much as I like Pendergraph and Cunningham, I'd rather have Casspi and Blair.

individually.. yeah I agree Casspi is better.. but with what he brings I honestly dont think he would have gotten anywhere NEAR the 28 mpg he is playing. Blair maybe so.. but not Casspi. Not here anyway.

With this season playing out the way it has, who knows what would have happened. I like Cunningham's game though, so I don't know. I haven't watched much of Casspi.

Claver is better than casspee, sorry it's the truth.

Blair is good though, bitchard blew it there.

You know KP can draft folks, but he can't make them play here. This really isn't on him. :devilwink:

Have you watched Claver some DD? I haven't really seen anything from him...

Oh, I agree that Batum was a homerun.

But the truth is, if he was good, he would be here next year, but really the team has no where to play him at this moment

So that's the question though, would you rather have Claver overseas or Casspi on our current roster?

In fairness, there was no way to predict what would happen to the team this season with all the injuries. If Rudy, Outlaw, and Batum hadn't gone down, I'm sure we probably wouldn't have seen Pendergraph, Cunningham, or really much of Howard. As it stands though, I think we've seen how valuable Batum is, how inconsistent Rudy is, and Outlaw is gone.

I have almost no doubt that Claver will never don a Blazers uniform.

Really? Did Sabonis come right over after we drafted him? Was he good?

Sometimes players just don't want to come over here.

yeah thats true. But I just mean with how it has played out so far he wouldnt have. What he brings isnt what this team really lacks.

Wasted pick then. I'd rather trade the pick than waste it on a guy who will never actually play in the NBA. Of course, I guess it's kind of like investing in the stock market long term. He might pan out one day and come over when he's 28 or 29 and be a star... who knows.

What i was getting at was, with RUDY we sent over the whole calvary, to convince him to come, probably made some promises, pulled some strings, etc. KP would have done the same thing with Claver if he believed that much in him
