Actually, this loss, and the way it happened, could go down as big positive, as strange as it seems. McMillan can point to this the rest of the season as motivation and as a never-let up/always-execute reference.

So one terrible quarter and the team is a disgrace and the RG should be burned down? You could fill up the Rose Garden with the number of quality quarters this team has played. You could fill up the locker room with the number of poor quarters this team has played.

Your problem is you want perfection from an imperfect world. Good luck with that.

Travis did have spectacular mental powers from the bench with his injured foot, didn't he? Yeah, he would have bee outstanding last night.

Oh and swapping Blake for Camby last night would have done wonders for us as well.

I wish you were in charge of the Blazers. Then all of our worries could be laid to rest. I guess I'll have to settle for what we have.

Well it helps that he's a distant relative of Nostradamus and could foretell Portland's history-breaking injury problems.

Rough game last night, but unfortunately that is how it is going to be until some of the young players learn how to step up for more than a quarter or so at a time, which may or may not ever happen. But at least we will find out if they can play, and move forward.

That was a tough loss - considering Utah did not have Memet and AK47 had back spasms, to lose a large lead like that is painful.

In key games at home - especially OT - you have to win.

One thing I do notice: this team continues to have a hard time putting opponents away. You got to have killer instincts in a game like this. Never let a dangerous team like the Jazz hang around.

Right, which was why I was here complaining after the loss to the Celts.

Oh wait....no, I wasn't. Hmmm. Could it be that this wasn't just another loss? Could it be the team actually had an epic meltdown in a game they had won?

Nah! There couldn't be any possible reason that a rational mind would be displeased with the Utah game. How utterly foolish of me. Just ignore me and carry on.

Um. I was displeased with last night's loss. Being displeased and gathering up the pitch forks are rather different reactions, are they not?

Sounds as if you're whistling a different tune. Could it be that the mob-gathering attitude last night displayed by a few fans were more a reaction from an irrational state of mind?

Is it? I find it interesting that you know what's happened in some alternate universe.

I do not have to defend something I never said.

For the second time, unlike you I do not make up fake results for a world that doesn't exist.

I only judge what I see in this realm.

Sure, Nate's lost us some games. However, he's won us more games than he's lost. Starting Blake was a stroke of genius against PHX. His gameplans against SA and DAL have been terrific. However, he never gets credit, only blame.

I'll tell you what: Give them their guys at 100% and our guys at 100% and I'll take the Blazers every time. Boo fucking hoo about their missing players. Our best player isn't even playing at 50%.

He gets both good and bad support. But remember, part of a coaches job is motivation. Out of the last 3 games, the Blazers have played about 1.5 quarters, motivated. Sometimes a team just tunes out a coach. I guess the question is, have they tuned him out?

So, you stand by your contention that if we had been healthy all season we wouldn't have figured out our chemistry issues? It seems to me that position belongs in an alternate universe as well. I guess you only like your alternate dimensions; the other ones to you are

I don't think so. I think losing Blake and Travis is going to be an adjustment. Hell, Cleveland lost their backup center for a starting PF, and they haven't played well either. It's just a hangover.

I have contended all season Nate benefited from the shortened rotation. When did things start to unravel? Roy was out before players started coming back. Then they started coming back, and amazingly enough, everything went to hell.

I think Nate is struggling with who to play when. The players should make his job easy for him by having their play dictate their minutes. However, one game Webster's great, the next he's invisible. The same has gone for Batum, Bayless, etc.

We also had to play one way with Roy out and are having to readjust. These things take time. I still think Nate is a really good coach. I never said he was perfect.

For the 3rd time I made no such claim.

It is only you that claimed to know what would happen on Earth v 2.0.
