IMO, if the Blazers can somehow work up to the 6th seed, coupled with the Mavs snagging the 3rd seed, that would be our best 1st Round option. Trade, or no trade, I think the Blazers match-up best against Dallas this season. Not to mention they've already won twice in Big D. Getting past OKC in the regular season is gonna be a mighty tough task, though. IMO, Durant is second only to LeBron as MVP candidate this season.
lets see where we are tuesday morning..... i think if we win these 2, we can talk playofffs if we lose tonight... forget playoffs
Not that I think the Blazers would beat Dallas, but I'd rather play them so we don't have to listen to Laker trolls all off-season. The Lakers would be harder to beat also, so just another reason to want to play Dallas. Also note the Blazers beat Dallas before they picked up Butler and Haywood. Either way just watching playoff basketball will be great. Always fun.
The Mavericks, since the Blazers have a hope in hell of beating them in a series. A small chance, but that's better than the 0 chance against the Lakers.
Yep, we lost a game to the Bulls, therefore we're out of the playoffs. From this day forth, I demand the moderators delete any playoff related discussions and only allow threads based on off-season trades, potential free agent signings, the draft, potential lottery picks, and when/where the Blazers' draft lottery will be held. Anyway, back to reality. I'd much rather play the Mavs than the Lakers. Cause let's face it: as well as we've played against the Lakers in the past, they're not going to lose to us in the first round. The series would be over in 6 games at the most. With the Mavs, things would be much more interesting, and I'd give the Blazers a decent chance to win that series. We've shown we can beat that team on their home floor, and if we could protect our own, then look out...
