Frankly, it's nearly miraculous (minus the whole divine intervention, supernatural thing) that they've been able to post such a record with so much turmoil.
Well I think it shows how important it is to have defined roles, once we got some injuries the team got more efficient production out of the roster.
Pretty damn good. Especially with those around here that say the coach sucks, some of the players are soft, sky is falling, etc. Bunch of d-bags.
I'll admit that the coach and players are absolutely flawless, if you admit the thing about the sky, what with global warming.
Our record is impressive on what we have gone through. OKC has the strongest schedule coming up. Can we take on the #6 slot? That would make us go against #3 Dallas which is fine in my books.
Are you serious? Right now, the Mavs are probably the odds-on favorite to win it all. They haven't lost since the trade. I'd like to stay away from the Mavs until the WCF. Our previous two wins against them mean nothing.
I am going back and forth with the playoffs. It's great to make the playoffs, and a great accomplishment if they do with all that's happened. However, is it really better to make the playoffs and get crushed by the L*kers in the first round than to miss them and have a chance, allbeit a slim one, at Wall?
In a word--yes. In more words--I happen to believe that we would have a higher probability of winning a first-round series than of getting a top-3 pick in the lottery, so I'd rather go with the stronger odds.
that would be a 1/200 chance at Wall. might as well think of it as zero. the only way this team will have a chance to contend is if they learn to win in the playoffs. playoff experience + the 19th or 20th pick is better than disappointment of missing playoffs and picking last in the lottery.
I'd love the 6 seed. We have a fighting chance vs. the Mavs that I don't think we would have vs. the Lakers or Nuggs. Mavs are strong, but we've matched up well with them so far this season.
