Let's say that LeBron stays in Cleveland, and Wade stays in Miami, and Bosh goes to Miami. What kind of train-wreck would NY be at that point? What about NJ?
I don't think NY is significantly worse off then if they had kept all those horrible contracts. At least this way, they're paying less for a bad team. NJ on the other hand is just bleak. You'd think having a young pair in Harris and Lopez would be promising, but the rest of the team is so terrible. They really are going to need to do well in the next draft.
Joe Johnson and Amare together would be sweet!........ Wait a sec, they already played together in PHX!
I'm counting on it. I cannot wait for nobody to go to New Jersey or New York. It's going to be glorious comedy when the resurrection of New York basketball doesn't happen.
LeBron and Bosh are going to NYC. PG Sergio SG McGrady SF LeBron PF Lee C Bosh instant champions, just like the Celtics in 08
Whomever NYC gets, I have a feeling they'll at least have some more marketable names on their roster ... whether that translates into a championship or not remains to be seen, but if they get a good wing and a good big they'll be a tough out.
Uh, no thanks. We'd much rather have Bosh or Lebron (obviously). An undersized backcourt isnt what we need. Or a ball-dominating one.
I told Nets fans (the ones that left obviously) that they're never going to get LeBron, this was two years up until they left. Now think about this, as a superstar would you leave a team which is ready to win championships right now, to go rebuild somewhere else? (plus he's been in the league what 7 or 8 years now?, dude is tired of not getting rings)
That's a good point. Lebron Roy Batum LA Oden Batum needs 20 shots a game, though. Let's hope LeBron can deliver the dimes.
How much rebuilding would they really have to do in New Jersey? They're getting a really nice draft pick (maybe Wall?), they've got a fantastic young center, and Devin Harris. You take those three pieces, add in LeBron James, and it's really not hard to imagine them throwing together a contender pretty goddamn quickly. It could be the equivalent of the Spurs winning the Tim Duncan lottery while also getting David Robinson back healthy. That was one fast fucking rebuild they went through, wasn't it? Basically 4 months of summer. If they luck into Wall and trade Harris for a quality SG or PF, man....that sounds a lot more fun to me if I'm LeBron James than the current iteration of the Cavaliers. The three hardest things to do with any team is to get a superstar, a high quality PG, and a high quality Center. They could start next year with all three, with a little luck.
I feel like even with the #2 NJ(to Brooklyn in a couple years) is really enticing PG-Harris SG-Turner (I feel like he may be the perfect #2 on a championship team unselfish and does EVERYTHING including score) SF-LBJ PF-Yi? C-Lopez with CDR and Lee coming off the bench, as long as they got some big depth somehow this is a VERY legit team
