I definitely wouldn't go over 8 mil a year. I think Oden knows he doesn't deserve more than that, and he seems like he actually wants to prove to his team, organization, and fans what he is worth. So who knows, maybe this will be a good thing.
Right, and I'd made reference to the "proxy" aspect of such a reward system in a previous post... But if rewarding players for total points/rebounds/etc. hasn't been tested as a legally-permissable way around that clause, then the Blazers might as well try it. However, it probably has and been rejected.
Thats is actually a really good idea. I think there would have to be a base salary of $200k-$300k and you would have to have some sort of free agent rule, otherwise then Kobe, Lebron, D12, Carmello, and CP3 would all just gang up in L.A. But imagine the competition level if a W was worth $100K in yoiur pocket though.
