Our PF didn't have to be like that. We won (and he outplayed Bosh). Our 7th win in the last 8 games. And our PF has his finger prints all over those wins.

Bosh was yelling at his team cuz they had lost like 8 games in their last 9 tries. Lord, I hope we're never IN that situation where you could criticize LMA for not saying anything. Also, Juwan had his whole episode earlier this season. We don't need LMA to be ripping teammates to the press.

Bosh is a pussy for calling out his teamates like that. Do it in private.

^LOL. Overrated? Talk about underrated. The dude is cash for us and LaMarcus out played him 1 night. All year, tell me who is doing better? Who is the best PF this year...Chris Bosh.

Consistently over-looked and given no recognition, he consistently is putting up solid numbers. While the Raps aren't winning like they should, calling Bosh a pussy for calling out his teammates? It's called being a fucking leader, which is his job. It's about time someone gets vocal in the locker room. He wants to make the playoffs, he wants a championship and he has the skill to take a team there. It's a scary thought to know that CB can walk away, and I really hope the Raps step the fuck up and get it straight.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
    Tim Duncan. Still.

    Duncan: 25.6 PER / 101 DRtg
    Bosh: 25.5 PER / 110 DRtg

Bosh has been essentially as productive as Duncan, but it doesn't seem that he can hold a candle to Duncan defensively.

Bosh has been really good, though. I don't know quite what to make of Bosh. He seemed to be breaking in 07-08, when he had a 25-26 PER midway through the season...he faded to a 23.8 PER and then had a 22 PER season last year. Now he's "breaking out" again.

He's clearly really good. Whether he's a true superstar or not, though, is hard to say.

I think that like most bigs, in today's NBA - it is very hard to have a big who is such a big mismatch that he can carry his team to big success night in, night out. The rules have made it a guard/wing dominated league - they control the ball, you can not touch them - they are the real difference makers.

The only bigs that can overcome this are either so dominant offensively that there is very little you can do to contain them (See Shaq, a decade ago) or very good offensively while being DPOY candidates year in, year out (See Duncan). Bosh is just not that good defensively, nor that dominant offensively to be able to carry a team to be a contender year in, year out.

It is still pretty clear that he is an elite big. The Raptors made a horrible, horrible mistake taking Bargnani in the 2006 draft when Roy was there for the picking. I can understand the thinking that they would form a great inside duo (not that it happened with Barg never being that good) - but this was very 90s think, where today's NBA is different, the no-hand-checking rules have really made it a very different league - and you have to have an elite guard/wing that controls the ball to be a contender. The Raptors just do not have anyone like that to put next to Bosh to take the next step.

Think of Bosh as a super-deluxe Aldridge on offense, with slightly worse defense - but, if the Raptors actually played any defense and used Bosh properly there - his impact on defense would be much better. You have seen in the Olympics that the coaches played Bosh a lot, sometimes over Howard, because of his ability to stay with quicker guards/wings on a switch, sort of what happens with Aldridge on defense in Portland. Not a big surprise, really, as McMillan was the Olympic team's defensive specialist coach.

Maybe it has already been done in private, and no results were noted. It looked to me he was at his wits end for how to turn the team around.

I am a big Bosh fan. I am also an Aldridge fan, but I would love for KP to inquire about a sign and trade for bosh this summer with the key outgoing player being LMA. Both are very good PF's, Bosh is just better. And a little better at this level can have a huge impact. Also, I think that with D coming from Oden and Batum, I think that Bosh and his offense would be a better match here in PDX.

Makes no difference. If he wants the respect of his teammates, going public with that crap isn't gonna work. If he is a leader, he wants the respect of the team. Regardless of the dimness of his wit.

You should be used to that by now in Toronto. Nobody watches that team in the states. Talk about underrated. I remember when the Grizzlies were in Vancouver. Shareef Abdur-Rahim, "the greatest player you've never seen." I don't remember where I heard that, but it sure held some truth to it. The only reason why Vince Carter got as much publicity as he did was because of the dunking.

Calling yourself a cussing nerd. Oldest trick in the book. I remember on the ESPN board when BobWhitsittsGhost was insulting jlprk's mother.
