If we win we'll be a half-game back of Phoenix and tied in the loss column. Tonight's game is the type we need to win to have hope of making noise in the playoffs. It's going to be a struggle, but I think we have a shot. GO BLAZERS!
The Suns are on fire right now. Going to be really tough. Amare averaging 30/10 this month on 59% shooting.
Just noticed that the Suns haven't had to travel since March 3rd. They've been at home all month. Their last away game was on March 3rd and it was only in LA, and their next away game is only in GS on Monday before they're right back at home on Friday to play the Knicks.
Definitely going to be tough, but I think we match up well with the Suns. A couple of years ago we couldn't beat them to save our lives, but now we have the tools.
Nah, we have a good chance. If you look at individual matchups I think we'll hurt them at shooting guard and small forward pretty bad.
We beat them back in February (in their house) without Roy and Batum was a non factor. Tonight we have No Blake and No Rudy. On the flipside we gained Camby. You think the Suns are prepared to handle Camby?
I believe Portland won the season series, so like the Spurs, we only have to tie them in the standings to move ahead of them. That's putting the cart well before the horse though.
I remember a few years ago the Warrior had only 1 road game in the month of February. The Suns do end the season with a tough patch, vs the Spurs, @ OKC, vs Houston, vs Denver @ Utah. It wouldn't surprise me to see them win 4 of those games.
I think there's some things people are forgetting about Utah. Roy missed 2 of those games, and the last game Marcus was playing in his like, 2nd game as a Blazer. And iirc, Roy was still struggling from his injury in the last game. Remember, the game before (against the Celtics) Brandon looked like a shell of his former self. Against the Jazz, even when the team had a big lead, he looked like a shell of his former self. You take out the best player from any team for 3 games, and you probably will look a lot better against them then you are. It's not like the Jazz beat a healthy Portland team 4 games to nothing.
Denver will be an easy mark without K-Mart. I'd love to play them. Utah would be a pain in the ass since it's so hard for us to win in SLC.
now without Brewer and having Kirlenko hobbled with injuries it's not like the Jazz are that same team either. STOMP
