I would much rather face Dallas, but I like Dirk and we all hate the Lakers. As long as it isn't Utah or Denver I will be happy.

Since the epic game 7 meltdown they've swept us twice in the playoffs. We've always done real good against them in the regular season but when it ultimately matters they've kicked our ass.

I'd rather see them in the 2nd round or conference finals.

 

I don't think we've faced them since the big home streak started (I know it's over now, but still)... and you *know* our fans will be frothy over a game or two against the Lake Show. If we're not good enough to get out of the first round, might as well face the hardest team possible, so that any success that might happen is amplified.

 

I believe we have a chance of getting out of the first round, but not against the Lakers. I'd rather have a 20% chance (or whatever) of getting out of the first round then having some sort of moral victory for losing to a better team.

 

Obviously the Lakers would be favored, but I wouldn't be stunned if Portland beat them in a series. No matter who the 8th seed is in the west, they're going to be one of, if not the best 8th seed ever. And the Lakers aren't the best 1 seed ever, not by a long shot. It will be fun, but really stressful. The refs will attempt to butt fuck us, guaranteed. I sense a lot of anger in my future if we indeed match up with the Lakers round 1.

 

I do not want any part of LA. This board will have 80000 threads about how the Blazers got cheated by the refs, and will lose in 5
