Why wouldn't they just sit Kobe (like they have the other games) and rest him for the playoffs. Why throw Kobe on the floor with all his injuries and risk of more injury just to lose the game?

I really hope you're on a Laker fan wind up right now.

A ratings boost from Portland beating LA in a meaningless game for the Lakers at the end of the season would be unmeasurable. It wouldn't move the dial one millimeter. It just wouldn't.

Dear lord, you're on TV fer fucks sake "Learn the game."

No one would've cared about or watched yesterday's game if Kobe didn't play.

If we could get rid of all the ego-driven linear thinkers who take themselves too seriously, the world wouldn't have wars.

Are you kidding me? The guy has made big shots all season long but yesterday, he was worried about being double/triple teamed? He's seen doubles and triples his whole career never mind the fact that we had been giving him single coverage all game. Also- he had just hit a big three. Why could he do that again? The guy didn't even TRY to get open. AND if Phil wanted someone else to shoot the three, why Pau? Why not Odom? Why not Fisher? Why not Brown? Why not Farmarr? Vujacic? He had many options that were better than Pau Gasol. The game was fixed.

Well, Nate tanked a second game, against Golden State. Proves my theory that I spelled out in this thread.

He couldn't even have anyone drive to the basket and get a foul, which would have gotten the automatic technical. He just stood there for the last 3 minutes looking stupid while we didn't try to make up being 4 points down.
