I'd recommend you go with the tried and true: "Ke-vin Prit-chard, clap-clap, clap- clap-clap, Ke-vin Prit-chard, clap-clap, clap-clap-clap." I fear too many people won't understand a chant about having to pee.
i agree totally. The full name or forget it. Or, we could thank the man who really deserves it and is sick to boot, Paul Allen. That might mean a world to him.
While I could care less one way or another, I think it is a pretty shitty thing to do after the Camby Chant. Camby earned his chant with play on the court. KP I am indifferent about his GM job over the last few years. He has done good things. He has also fucked up a bunch.
Obviously it was his enormous ego. He wanted to show that we could win a title even with half the team sidelined. Unfortunately, pride goeth before the round 1 exit, or something like that. What a jerk.
Totally agree. There ought to be some sort of tryout to earn 100 level seats. It also really gets me when it's some bored couple who leave at the end of the third to beat the rush back to the parking lot... Ugh.
I still dont get all this hoopla surrounding KP, chants, his job, etc. Someone please point me to a link or something that said he's not working for the Blazers next season, or whatever you guys seem to have read that makes you want to chant for him.
I love the idea of a Paul Allen chant. I think the idea of a Pritchard chant is cool . . . he deserves a little fan love for all that he has done for the fans. IF PA isn't there, still do the Pritchard chant? I say save it for the playoffs and national TV
I wanna save stuff for the playoffs but honestly with the demand a lot of us might not get in. Plus with the stakes of the game I will probably be a lot more nervous and in tune with the actual game itself.
I see a big difference in chanting for a player that is 36 years old, putting up 30 and 10 propelling the Blazers to a win over a rival; then chanting for a GM..... Most people/fans don't even know who the heck he is, who Larry Miller is, and what they actually do. And in all honesty, none of this KP crap would have been brought up if it wasn't for the fact that some people over analyzed the presser that KP had about Tom Penn. It just seems to me that its much ado about nothing for KP and people are just being dramatic.
which is fine.. I though find it amazing at how quickly such a bad team was turned around. And I find that just as amazing, if not more amazing than one player having 1 great game. I'm not saying he had other bad games or anything. I just think that the turnaround was mor eimpressive than 1 game.
I don't know about that-I think that the whole turnaround has been attributed to him, so a large % of Blazer fans do know who he is. And its not like the national media hasn't been covering this whole situation-they even mentioned the whole KP thing as "something that Blazer fans have had to endure" on the ABC telecast on Sunday.
It has nothing to do with being rich. Have you ever fingered yourself at the Rose Garden? Once you start you can't stop!
