Meh, we'll probably buy that #19 pick anyway.

if we had tanked/given up, we could have easily been in the top 10

Boston wants nothing to do with us. Maybe we can buy the 20th pick instead. I would prefer Paul to break the bank and buy the number one pick so we can get John Wall. He is the point guard we have been looking for.

Even if Allen were willing, NBA rules don't allow for that. $3 million is the most money one team can send another as part of a transaction. You could try to work in expiring contracts (like Przybilla's for next season) but the #1 pick isn't going to be moved for expiring contracts.

Not that it's the end of the world, but this IS bad luck for the team. I was a bit disappointed...

This kinda stinks because if we played the Celtics in the NBA finals we'd lose the tiebreaker for home court. Double screwed!

I'm pretty sure this only applies to draft order. For HC there are other tiebreakers (head-to-head record etc.).

Correct, and our Head to Head vs Celtics is 0-2 so its just kinda random/silly that in a four way tie with the celts they are the worst, but in a two way tie they win out.
