Portland wins Game 1 of a series on the road for the first time since April 20, 1983 (at Seattle) and just the third time in team history.

This reminds me so much of last year when Dallas came in and won the first game taking away HCA. Sure it wasn't near as close, but the result was the same.

You know how huge that is?

And, what's funny is that I wasn't a bit surprised that we won. I expected it. I just don't see the Suns as a better team than us, even without Roy.

I remember that. We got thumped by the Lakers in the 2nd Round. We could have made it 2 games to 1, but Darnell Valentine choked at the free throw line with 1 second left when he only had to make 2 free throws to win the game, but he missed the first one, made the second one, and then we lost in OT. We crushed the Lakers by 20 the next game, but down 3-1 and going back to LA, we lost Game 5.

Fixed. But your point was well-taken. I think we hurt the Suns last night. I heard a stat not only were they 32-9 at home, but 38-5 when leading after four quarters (both home and away).

The fact that this has only happened three times in team history with as many playoff appearances as they've had is mind blowing when you look at the context of the team and all of the adversity that has surrounded it this year. This group has really surprised the hell out of me.

Wow. I didn't realize it was possible to lose ANY game when leading after four quarters.

Thanks for fixing my error. I didn't realize how good the Suns were playing with a lead until I heard those stats. Of course, one of those five losses during the regular season was us coming back from 13 in the fourth.

I think we may be in their head a bit.

The Blazers won that series 2-0. No wonder they tried hard to win the first game.
