Teams very rarely win both games on the road to open a series but we must get after it anyway. Hakeem used to say his Rockets had to stay "Hungry and Humble." That's what we must do. Not get cocky. Just get hungry for victories. And if we win tonight, we musn't celebrate a series victory as tempting as it will be. In 1993, the Lakers won the first two games on the road (in a best of 5 series) against the Suns but lost the series in 5 and in 2005, the Rockets won the first two games on the road against the Mavericks but lost their series in 7. So let's win tonight and stay "Hungry and Humble." Go Blazers!!!
This is a huge game......Portland wins they take a commanding lead in the best of seven, if the Suns even it up then it becomes a 5 game series with Portland having the home court. My hope is that Portland keeps it close like game one and pulls away in the end...this time with a solid finish putting the Suns in a deep hole coming back to Portland on Thursday.
The officiating will not be the same tonight. Monty Mcutchin is the lead ref and he hates Portland. I seriously think he is the only ref that could be betting on games. I will have to keep a level head so I don't wake up my baby tonight.
I want the Blazers to go out confident, but with a chip on their shoulder. I want them to smack the Suns in the mouth, and relentlessly attack the hoop and punish them inside all night. Rip their hearts out tonight so we can come back to Portland looking for a sweep. Do it!!
Hopefully Bayless can play well again. I think we can expect near same results for Batum, Aldridge, and Miller (perhaps a little less points for Miller), but we need Bayless again or at least Rudy or Webster if Bayless does not so good. 2/3 doing well would be great, all 3 doing well? Pinch me I would be dreaming.
GO FUCKING GO BLAZZZZZZZZZZEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BLAZZZZZZEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSS used to be a graphic they used to have on the old Equitable Scoreboard
Wow. Phonix (yes, for you humorless facks, I spelled it that way intentionally) fans booing obvious foul calls. Retodded.
Rudy is too tentative. He's passed up one open shot, and passed up an opportunity to attack the rim with all the attention on Miller. Jay Bay will make Phoenix pay for over playing Miller. Pull Rudy NOW!
Blazers need to slow this shit DOWN... if they shoot before the shot clock shows 5, they need to get BOOGER HOOKED
