It happens. The 72 win Bulls got blown out twice in the 1996 Finals. The 2000 Lakers got blown out by us. I could go on and on. Doesn't matter if you lose by 1 point or 40 points. It's just one game. The series is tied and we have home court advantage. Phoenix hasn't won in the Rose Garden since March 2008.
Didn't we get blown out a couple times in that Laker series in 00? I think we did, and we bounced right back. Bottom line is we achieved what we sought out to do, and are coming back home to play in front of the best crowd in the NBA. If we take care of homecourt, we will still win.
Thats one reason I wanted the first game so bad. You knew the Suns were going to make adjustments and win. Now it's our turn to come back and take game 3!
Not really. We were getting blown out in Game 1 but game back through Hack a Shaq. The only true blowout of the series was Game 2 in L.A. We won 106-77. It was the worst home playoff loss in the history of the Lakers. But the Lakers still won the series.
Game One was a blowout. We even had to try the Hack-a-Shaq in the 3rd quarter, if memory serves. If not, it was early in the 4th.
Even the Lakers lost by double-digits more than a couple times last year in the playoffs. Blazers need to win game 3 and game 4, though. They have to keep HCA.
