This screams for a nutshot on Amare. I don't condone going for his eyes, but I think a wicked backhand to his groin would be adequate reprisal against this douche. Send in Pender, and while they're going for a rebound he should just let Amare have it. Rinse and repeat until Amare understands that this kind of thing will not be tolerated, or, he becomes sterile. Whichever happens first.
My post was basically tongue-in-cheek. If Amare tries to bump Roy's knee tonight, though, then I'm all for Nate sending in Pendy to execute the 3 stooges eye poke on Amare. Amare is trying to injure players.
But the classic nutshot is so much easier to hide..... poking him in the eye would require yanking off his goggles and three stooging it.
John Stockton was the master of a sly elbow to the privates. He NEVER got called for a foul on it. Maybe the Blazers can hire him for a few days to train the guys?
After watching the elbow to Batum's shoulder I don't find too much wrong with it. Sure, he knew Batum's shoulder was sore and I'm sure he was trying to make it sting a little bit, but all he did was run into it with his elbow. Its not like he swung it or anything. Is he a dbag for doing it? I wouldn't disagree with someone who said he is, but at the same time I don't think it's that terrible.
Batum said it deadened his arm, and Batum called it a dirty play. I'll side with Nic over Amare, who tried to break LA's nose in Game 3 with an elbow.
Nate needs to send the message the next time Amare touches a player with his elbow, that player needs to pretend he's playing in La Liga, Serie A. He needs to drop like he's been shot screaming in mock pain in the affected area.
Well I'm sure Batum was pissed about it and I agree that it was a little bit of a dbag move, but it isn't that terrible imo. If he swung the elbow sure, but he just ran into it. Still a little bit of a dbag move, but like I said, nothing too terrible.
Notice in the video what Rudy and Howard do during Nash's freethrow. Word was Rudy was pouting for the rest of the game after being pulled in the first half. Doesn't look like he is pouting in the video. In fact it looks like he is still mentally in the game and trying to distract Nash.
