That is, someone who could become the team's 2nd or 3rd scoring option next season.

Who would you put at the top of the list that KP (or whomever is GM) could "reasonably" go after in a trade?

Me? I'd love to have Danny Granger. Might even trade LMA to get him.

SF is the least of our worries. Batum, IMO, has this locked up for the next decade.

We need a scoring Center or a low post scoring PF.

Granger is entirely overvalued by the Pacer organization.

I think Maggette is a more realistic option.

Amen. I'll take Nic's 51% shooting, 41% from three and 85% free throw shooting over quite a few chuckers in the league. Granger is really nice, but for what it would take to get him (a lot more than just LMA in my opinion) I'm not so sure the return would be worth it.

My long-term solution for a low post scorer:

Now, how do we trade into the top-5? :devilwink:

I have no idea ... I will say this though, if KP could somehow parlay LMA, Greg and other picks or pieces into Cousins he'd be worth whatever supposed maturity and character risk he carries.

Maggete could be an option and more importantly could be available...

Provided POR isn't concerned about taking on his contract, I think he is a player whose team would realistically trade him....

good volume score and gets to the line a lot, not a good defender, but having Nate in his ear could help improve that...somewhat....

Not sure I would want to deal Oden or LA for Cousins.....

You would trade Aldride, Greg and picks for Cousins? Is everybody really that down about Aldridge? Let alone including Greg and picks.

You think Cousins alone is worth more than LMA+Greg+picks? What?

Like others have said, I thinK batum is perfectly fine in our SF role. If I HAD to find one, though, I'd probably target Maggette, because he's likely the cheapest to get. I'd try to get Deng from Chicago. Iguodola from Philly. Rashard from Orlando. Caron butler. Rudy Gay.

I like Deng and Iguodala, considering age, possibility that they're available and chances of being good going forward. Lewis is interesting. I think Gay is extremely overrated and I'm not bullish on his future prospects. I consider him equivalent to Outlaw but at much higher cost.

I meant to say LMA or Greg with Picks and other pieces thrown in ... and yeah I believe that LMA has mostly plateaued and Greg seems like a pretty lousy bet to stay healthy enough to realize his potential and Cousins probably has a higher ceiling than either LMA or Greg still possess (and before everybody jumps on that, I believe Greg had a higher ceiling than Cousins before he entered the league and has failed to show he can take the rigors of playing in the NBA).

I'm still hopeful that Oden can/will eventually become our #1 low-post scoring option.

I wouldn't trade Oden or LMA and picks for the next Micheal Beasley.

Cool, so you aren't against a Cousins pick then? Cousins is a legit 6'11" tall. He is not the second coming of Michael Beasley. He may pack some 'tude, but at the PF spot, that is needed.
