I'm proud of Al "Betty White" Davis. He had to swallow his pride and do this. With their successful draft and the acquisition of Jason Campbell, the Raiders are FINALLY on the right track. The NFL is more interesting when the Raiders are good, so I'm all for it.
I'll give you that one, but he's also the same Al Davis who fires coaches incoherently and failed to bring Russell along.
Al Davis has made more smart decisions over the course of the last 3 weeks than he's made in the last 10 years. It's about time.
I'd adjust that to "last 20 years." About the only smart decision he's made over the past two decades, prior to this year, was to turn most of the decision-making over to Jon Gruden...for as long as that lasted.
