After Derek Fisher SCAAAAA-REEEWWWEDD Salt Lake City one more time, it's apparent that there really *IS* no God, or fate, or Karma, and all the major religions of the world are wrong and flat-out fantasies. It makes one want to go out and commit genocide, rob and rape and maim with no moral compass whatsoever. Why not? The concept of an eternal judgement or balance of good vs. evil is a myth. Get yours while you can, fuck over everyone in your way.
Yah, a little extreme. Although I wonder if our own CIP (not meant as an insult Chris) is referring to the 3 FT's on the foul in the 1st half? IMHO, anyway you look at it, Utah lost the game not the refs.
Dude, his kid has a rare form of cancer - that's why he needed to move his family back to LA. He has already been sodomized by the universe. If he has a little good luck on the basketball court, that hardly balances the scales!
I'm.. a bit confused as to the premise of this rant. Are you saying there is no Karmic justice because Fisher hit a shot against a team he had to leave or because the Lakers won?
The first part of your statement is true. The second sentence contradicts it. If there is no god or fate or karma and the religions are wrong and god a delusion (thank you Richard Dawkins) then our moral compass must come from ourselves. We can't rob and rape and commit genocide thinking that if we ask a god for forgiveness a second before death all will be well. We have one world and it's up to us to make it better. And no karma will help the Blazers. They just need to get healthy and work hard.
Considering all of the absurdly horrible things that happen every single day on this planet, you decided that the straw that broke the karmic camel's back was a basketball play? That is just plain bizzare.
A man's entire belief system and world view has been destroyed by Derek Fisher. In a way, that's sad. In another, more compelling, way, that's hilarious.
