    Seriously.

The first 2 seasons were great only to have the writers turn the last 4 seasons into a huge and boring mindfuck.

Last night's episode was odd. Isn't just a little too late for an entire episode of back story this close to the finale? You can tell they had no idea how they wanted to end this when they first started. No story arc in advance.

Hopefully it all works out because I'll be watching it till the end.

It's hard to imagine this is the same show. The first two season were just so different.

The last episode was complete balls. All it did was explain about the two corpses that Jack and Kate found in the first season. What the hell is that?

I agree that seasons 1 and 2 were maybe the best TV ever - the hatch, the numbers? Fantastic!

Last year was far, far too confusing with the time travel.

I am enjoying this season but am resigned to the fact they won't give many answers, and in that regard I feel ripped off. But I also know that the real joy of this show is feeling so connected to some TV characters. That is amazing, and watching what happens to them is still great.

Last night was odd - and typical, a few answers and then more questions - who is "mother", how did she get there, etc. On a side note, I think she is a smoke monster too, btw.

I'm starting to get the feeling that they are setting the plot(s) more for a future movie then to wrap things up.

Stopped watching due to absolute boredom after about the first 6 episodes.

Time is just too prescious to waste on such pedestrian drivel.

Only to have that movie set up a plot for a sequel.

    Lost is absurd.

Then you missed the boat - it is unlike any show ever and still remarkable, flaws and all. Like a great book that you care about.

Lost can be a fun show to watch if all the episodes are available to you at anytime you feel like viewing them. Netflix has all the seasons for instant viewing. Having to wait for a new episode each week and being disappointed by it is quite harsh.

Seriously, are you ever going to address that? Why would anyone believe such crackhead shit? Of all of the crazy ass conspiracy theories for someone to latch onto and that's the one you pick?!?!

LOST was so wonderful during the first two seasons, then got really slow and boring. But by then, I was so sucked in I couldn't help but keep watching. Then the time travel started and it got awesome again. "The Constant" was my favorite episode by far. The show has definitely gone through its phases. It could have been one of the best ever if they had done it correctly.

Correctly = 10 seasons, on HBO, full creative control and no time constraints.

The last episode was certainly different, but it was also necessary. This last season has been all about answering questions and resolving loose ends, and Smokey & Jacob were two of the biggest unanswered questions.

Why would you say I believe cellular towers are eating my brain? I have posted no personal opinion at all about it, simply linked the story, which BTW included links to actual patents for the quite basic technology required to do so. I thought it might draw out some intelligent debate on the ongoing and imminent overthrow of our country by insiders. Or some sort of fact-based rebuttal.

As for why people would believe HS is frying their brains with microwaves, maybe it's because no credible scientist nor doctor will dispute that repeated cell phone use is harmful to people in exactly that way.

Maybe it's because the capability to do so remotely is proven, and Homeland Security requires all cell phones (and cars BTW) sold in America to have GPS tracking devices installed before sale.

Or maybe it's because the bulk of Homeland Security's budget is and has always been directed toward the surveilance, control and containment of US citizens, not foreigners.

Homeland Security serves the exact same purpose as the Gestapo did for Hitler. Nothing more, nothing less.

I really have no way of knowing what technology they are using and what technology they are not using, but it's obvious they are no friend to Americans.

Lost was originally written to be a mini-series, but after it got great ratings, ABC turned it into a full show. That could explain why the first two seasons were good, but since then not so much.

I will admit this last season has been confusing, but I've been watching since day 1! I love it. And if you planned on the final episode answering all your questions in a neat nice little package....... ain't gonna happen.

I think the series holds up pretty well overall. The problem is that the first few seasons set the bar pretty high for "astonishing surprise", and it's hard to consistently do that. Especially in a long-running series where the viewer enters every episode waiting for it. I mean, how often are you really pranked on April fools day after the age of 30? You just see it coming, so it loses its impact.

That said, it was really unfortunate that they killed off Mr Eko at the end of season 2. There was a lot more they could've done with that character. I always felt like he was sort of like Luca Brasi in The Godfather--Puso writes this amazing character with a really interesting story, and he kills him off before he gets a chance to do much.

Anyway, it's consistently been the best show on TV for a long time, with only Battlestar Gallactica and Deadwood in real competition.

BTW--I really enjoyed the Jacob/Black Guy back story. The chess battle between those two guys is at the very heart of the entire story of the Island. It's baffling to me that anyone could consider it a tangent. It's the whole point. Everything that's happened has been a battle between the smoke monster wanting to leave the island, and Jacob wanting to keep him there.

Yea im also pissed that they wasted one of the last episodes on the whole Jacob and smoke monster. Like why couldn't that have been an episode much earlier???? There's one episode left before the finale and i feel more confused than the beginning of this season. I feel like they're just gonna end it like the Sopranos. Abruptly and no answers. jokes on us
