http://thehoopsmarket.blogspot.com/2010/05/sandro-rosell-candidate-for-president.html Anybody wanna lay odds? I say 3:1 it happens.
So let me get this right. Because some Spanish newspaper writes an another article I am supposed to believe all this bullshit? They started writing articles about Rudy coming back there before he was even gone. Secondly I would point out that the same management team that is running the team now didn't give up on Travis Outlaw for 6 years and still hasn't given up on Martell Webster. Why the fuck would people like that give up on a much more promising talent than either of those two were, after one bad season?
I don't think Rudy is happy in Ptd . . . he has made it pretty clear he is not a big Nate fan. But my guess is Rudy stays in the NBA, even if it mean another year with the Blazers. I think this because Rudy has a big ego and I don't think he can accept laving the best basketball league in the world this way. Also, Sergio doesn't have nearly the potential as Rudy and for some reason he has decided to continue trying to make it in the NBA. Rudy and Sergio are close, probably discussed this issue many times . . . so maybe both decided they would rather try to make it in the NBA then have the creature comforts at home. I know that is a stretch, but Rudy's whole sitation is a bunch of speculation by writers, thought I would join the party.
At the same time, I have seen this story before. Andre Kirilenko was in the same boat a couple of years back. Eventually his attitude turned around and he came back into the fold at Utah. Not much of anything else changed on the team. So the question becomes how much of this is mental on his end as opposed to actually being a problem? IMO the problem is he can't get over that he isn't "The Guy" anymore.
Could Portland trade Rudy to a cash strapped franchise with the understanding that said franchise will allow some Euro team to buy out the contract? No way Portland lets an asset just walk away.
Kirilenko was a compensated a helluva lot better than Rudy is, it's easier to swallow a less than ideal role if you're getting rich in the process. In Rudy's case he's left money on the table to play here and it hasn't been all that smooth. If Rudy really wants out I'm guessing the team will try to trade him, but if there isn't much coming back or if Rudy doesn't want to hang in the NBA I'm guessing the two sides will come to some sort of arrangement. Remember I said odds of 3:1 of him going back to Europe, I'd lay his odds of being traded at something like 2:1
I've never seen umbrella wheels. Did Al Gore invent them, too? Seriously, I thought "FC" meant "Football Club." So what does it mean?
Yup it means football club, but the soccer team is the overall umbrella for all of their other sports too
The media coverage of basketball in Spain is equivalent to tabloid magazines in the United States. I wouldn't worry about it.
ROOOFLES!!!! Is this better? http://translate.google.com/transla...es/dasbal/20100518dasdaibal_3/Tes&sl=es&tl=en
interesting. I knew like Boca Juniors did that cause it is "club atletico" but wasnt aware the FC encompassed the Basketball team as well.
any way we can let him play for 3 years (or longer) and retain his rights if he wants to re-enter the NBA?
