Kitzhaber will win the general, it won't be close at all.

He's run a good race, gaining experience, learning how to become a candidate. Making the playoffs first time in the game is a nice accomplishment.

I hear Kitzhaber's got a better first step, but Dudley's length is really going to give him fits.

Also I posted this topic in the Blazer section of this forum. It's about giving props to a former player. Lets leave the political commentary for the OT section.

Besides, having a former player running for governor has to help a little in recruiting FA's here.

"Come to Portland, you may not win a championship but someday you can be governor!"

Yeah, he was my pick and I'll be interested to see how the general works out for him. But I'm not so sure a failed election campaign is terribly beneficial, he may have been better served gaining experience in the house or senate instead of vying for the top position in the state.

I didn't like Kitzhaber the first time and sure don't want him back. I'm not sure even in Oregon the way the country is going that we will elect Kitzhaber.

I'd have to say I think Dudley has a legitimate chance if he indeed wins the republican nominee. I didn't even vote for a democrat nominee, that's how much I disliked both on my ballot.

Dudley's cracks me up. He was certainly pro-union when he was a member of the NBA Player Association when he was guaranteed one of the worst contracts on Blazer history. Now he's a cookie cutter Republican scapegoating unions any chance he gets.

Did anyone listen to him in the Republican primary debates? Ugh. He's awful thinking on his toes and can barely compose a coherent thought when he has to step outside his talking points.

I understand Kitzhaber's strategy will be to continually foul Dudley and send him to the line.

Very excited! Ktizhaber's protege is the moron who has currently run the state's economy into the ground - he's tried to run away from that fact, but Dudley will have plenty of money to pin that on him.
