If the Blazers are gonna go anywhere, they're going to have to develop the kind of hunger for championships that the Lakers and Celtics have. We have the talent to win it all next season but we need that desire. I don't know what Nate has to do to get that out of our players, but it's absolutely necessary or we'll end up like the Hawks, Cavs, and now Magic. Talented teams with no killer instinct. Oh and I should add that teams like Denver and Dallas have that hunger. They just don't have the personnel to get it done.
I don't believe that the current group has either the talent or the intensity/killer instinct to be champs......but I'm crabby that way.
Now that's funny. OK, yes, we should draft Cousins. He seems to have more hunger than any other top draft prospect. That 16% body fat is impressive.
I think we have a few players that want to do anything to win. To bad they are on the bench 90% of the time.
I grilled marinated tri-tip for dinner for the family with roasted potatoes (tossed in a baking dish with olive oil, kosher salt, onion powder, and garlic powder to a crisp), a salad with cucumbers, green lettuce, carrots, and tomatoes, along with some fresh french bread and a split bottle of Rodney Strong Sonoma Cab with my wife. I'm not hungry right now. Is that on topic?
I grilled a PBJ sandwich and by grilled I mean popped in the toaster. Take that person who knows how to cook!
We just need to stay healthy. I don't think it's any coincidence that the 2 teams likely to be in the Finals, the Celtics and Lakers are also 2 of the biggest teams in the league. Size matters. Fortunately we are the one team that has the size and talent to play with those teams as long as we're healthy.
I should amend that post to state that Cleveland has a very big team as well. Unfortunately LeBron's mom literally screwed that team.
