What exactly is the big problem with what Randy Prescott said? He was asked a question about the worries of restaurants, and answered honestly. He knows things are fucked up, and tried to put their minds at ease by saying there are other places with this product, which is true.....right? I don't think he is lipping the bird to the state of Louisiana by that statement. Am I misreading it?

At a White House news conference Thursday, Obama said while three beaches in Louisiana have been fouled by oil, the rest of the region's beaches are clean and safe. He says Gulf state governors have asked him "to remind everybody" the beaches are open. The spill has economic as well as environmental costs for the Gulf states -- Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. With the summer tourist season about to start, Obama says Americans can help people along the Gulf by continuing to visit their communities and beaches.
So in response to concerns about oil-fouled beaches, Obama basically said, "Those aren't the only beaches in the area." What a jerk!
You know, Randy, the Cajun people are a proud culture. We value our way of life that is centuries old. When we came to southern LA, we separated from other cultures as we had been so badly treated by other ethnicities. We moved into the swamps and marshes and began a way of life uniquely suited to our values. When called upon to fight, we had to be persuaded that it was for a good cause, because all we wanted was to live our lives in peace. But, fight we did with glory! Your comment was insensitive and a slap in the face to all of us affected by YOUR mistake. You knew the risks inherent in drilling so deep and had no real contingency plans. One of the workers warned you that something was wrong and he was ignored because all you could see was dollar signs. Now, you have created a disaster much worse than any natural disaster that has hit LA. Have you really seen how your mistake has, and is, affecting our treasured way of life and livelihood? Have you seen our wildlife? I guess you'll say, "Well, there is more wildlife out there, so why the fuss?" Shame on you and on your company for being so callous and uncaring. Stop spending on commercials and get busy solving the problem instead of merely putting bandaids on a gushing wound.
Well, all i can say about Obama is," as long as he looks and sounds good, he knows nothing about handling crises and doesn't want to know." He likes running around the world and ruining America's standing in the world community. I did not vote for him.
