I say Quadruple Double. It requires you to be good at more than one thing.

Perfect Game. You can play great for, say, 36 minutes, take some breaks, coast, etc and still end up with double-digit basketball stats. If you take a batter off, you have no shot at a perfect game.

Perfect game by far. Ask Galarraga how hard it is to be perfect. He was, and still didn't get one. You don't have to be perfect to get a quadruple double

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Pitchers get to take entire half innings off, when their team is batting. I agree that they can't take any of their own pitches off, but it's bursts of concentration with plenty of downtime, and the ability to control the pace themselves. I don't think there's an effort/concentration advantage for the basketball achievement.

Also, you can get a double-digit stat while cruising at times. Getting four, positive double-digit stats? I don't think you can cruise and do that.

Hakeem's had many 'near-quads' before too, falling short by one stat more than twice, I believe.

It's not even really a perfect game, you can give up a hit, as long as the person gets out. A perfect game IMO should be nobody hits the ball unless it goes foul.

    So essentially, 27 Ks?

Yeah, that would be more special than either of these.

why do you have to throw the ball by someone for it to be perfect? The point of the game is to get outs, not strikeouts.

If anything, 27 pitches that led to 27 outs would be perfect.

Throw the first pitch and hit the batter in the head and kill him and cause the other team to quit, that would have to be a perfect game.

But, add Kate Beckinsale and her hottest friend giving you a double after the game and that would be better, so maybe we should just leave a perfect game the way it is.

I will say Quadruple double is more impressive.
