    No--as long as US beats Algeria by more than 1, the England-Slovenia match won't matter.
    --If England beats Slovenia, we advance over Slovenia 5 points to 4
    --If Slovenia beats England, we advance over England 5 points to 4
    --If they draw, we advance over Slovenia due to goal differential, since Slovenia's is only +1

    The only way we don't automatically advance is if we beat Algeria by just one goal, and England/Slovenia draw, at which point it goes to the next tiebreak, which is total goals scored.

    harkes is a terrible commentator. a lot of the stuff he says is just completely wrong and half of the calls he kept complaining about going against the US were correct calls.

    it sucks that the US actually came back in the game just to get screwed out of the win by a shitty ref. though the US getting screwed by refs seems to be a common theme of world cups.
