"Joel is looking terrific" “I don’t look at Joel as a trade piece…” "If my agent contacted another team about a possible job opportunity, I'd fire him immediately"
"I'm not scared of another team in the NBA. i respect them, but am not scared of them" “with Greg healthy, with Brandon healthy, we’re gonna be a tough out for the next 5-6 years.”
"our owner is usually willing to take on salary" “it’s a question of timing. most aggressive trades happen during the trade deadline. we’re gonna be active as anybody. but we have a lot of players here - if healthy- can contribute. but we will be aggressive in getting our team closer to a title."
I didn't hear the interview . . . was that fortelling of what part of the controversy is inside the organization?
I wonder if KP firing his agent would save his job. Right after the Penn firing the agent bad mouthed the organization and dragged KP's name into the mix. PA is an eccentric billionaire owner who can make big decisions and not care too much about the repercussions. If you hate an agent, do you put it past Allen to fire someone because of that?
Picking apart words (becasue I got nothing better to do and didn't hear the interview) . . . did he not include Aldridge because his health isn't an issue or because he isn't part of the core anymore?
The phone calls after the segment are exactly why KP is in trouble IMO. People give him all the credit for the turn around, and basically look at PA as the bad guy. The fact is that there are several people that were very important to the re-birth.
KP said it's easier to be active in trades if you have the no. 4 pick than the no. 22 pick. Obviously, that means he must be trading for the no. 4 pick. Discuss.
Deffo agree. KP should control the calls on talk shows after he's been interviewed on the radio. Also, I overheard a guy last week down at the bar talking about how well KP has done rebuilding this team. Pritchard did absolutely NOTHING to stop him. KP OUT!!!!!!!!
