How could you not be interested in your favorite team that has one of the brightest futures in the league?

New Orleans currently has two of their best players, if not the two best, playing the same position. It's pretty silly to have a rookie PG who averaged over 20 ppg. in Feb. and rang up 20 assists one game coming off the bench. They just need to decide which one they don't want, and then give him to us. ;)

Yeah, more like vomit-inducing. Not a fan.

For all of those that keep thinking that CP3 is going to be obtained for Joel/Miller/Batum, just do this simple exercise.

Could another team easily come up with a better offer?

New York - Could send Curry and Gallinari and take back CP3, Okafor, Posey. This would save NO close to 15M this year and bring atleast one long term piece back in Gallinari.

New Jersey - Devin Harris and draft considerations for atleast CP3 and Okafor. Would probably take Posey as well if no one takes their cap money. Again saves a ton of money for NO.

I am not buying CP3 to Portland for a second.

13 year vet Shaq, actually. But still a decent example. I was having trouble thinking of anyone else.

Blazers do come first for me in Sports. But the way this whole KP thing has played out has turned me off a lot.

Possibly, but I think it is more likely the new owners would want to take their time and do a thorough review of personel and the teams strategic direction before jettisioning a top5 NBA player.

Why would they want Devin Harris back? PG isn't what they need more of. And I'm not sure Gallinari is a better young prospect than Batum.
But I agree with you that Joel/Miller/Batum isn't going to get it done.

So you like the Italian over the French? Not sure I would agree in this case.

I'm assuming we'd have to include someone like Batum as well. I think Batum's ceiling is higher than Gallinari. Also, why would New Orleans want Devin Harris? The idea for making the trade would be because Collison could be a capable replacement, and if not Miller is a team option next summer. Harris is signed for ~$9 million/per through 2013. How does that shed much salary, and it still leaves Collison on the bench.

    +1.

But I would seriously consider that deal even if we included Oden in that package.

Pairing Roy with Paul would be worth giving up GO.

You're assuming those teams want to make that trade, or don't have something else in mind.

Why would NO trade for Harris when they have Collison? Batum or Gallinari?

I like Portland's offer better. Miller for one year with Batum as a nice piece for the future.

What if Monty Williams being hired by NO ended up netting the Blazers Paul because Monty wanted Nic? Greatest hire ever for the Blazers.

I think that might be the thing behind this.

The only problem with Oden in a trade is that he's off of his rookie deal after this season. If he plays as well as he did last season AND stays healthy, he'll get a decent offer as an RFA if the Blazers don't extend his contract this summer.

Then, New Orleans is left without him. I bet if it was Oden and Webster for Okafor, New Orleans may like it because Peja is gone after next year, and Webster isn't terrible when you take his contract into consideration.

Did a simple rumor turn us even more delusional or something?

And why isn't anyone jumping on the "Quick is a hack" bandwagon like they usually do??
