    Good point. I seem to remember Bayless never working out here.

    But, it does sorta give some indication, especially if you consider the complete lack of higher ranked players. We had a similar first round pick last year, and I remember guys ranked in our range working out in POR (Claver, Collison, Casspi, etc).

    Anyone think this might be pre-emptive on the Blazers' part?....there are a bunch of division rivals (OKC and MIN) that have multiple picks, and by (artificially?) pumping the cost of moving 10 spots up to 2M, it removes the chance that OKC or MIN will be able to sell off their excess picks to anyone besides us?

    I think the $$ is wrong. Hasnt our local media reported that it was $1 million? I highly doubt we'd fork over $2 million to move up 10 spots in the 2nd round!

    I don't think moving up 10 spots is worth $2 million, so it makes me really happy that we did it. It seems to indicate that Paul is willing to spend whatever it takes to improve, and that's a very good thing.
