I was told that Quick said Paul to Portland talks have halted. Is that true?

Its gonna be so sweet seeing CP in a blazers uni! Stealing him away from monty would be ultimate ownage, as much as I love monty.

I remember reading somewhere that CP3's family is close friends w/ Larry Miller. If that's true, that should maybe help bring him to PDX.

No doubt a Roy/CP3 backcourt would be the best in the NBA.

If Shinn gets the signal that Paul wants out that could tip the scales a little bit, but I still wouldn't expect to see him moved until the last year of his contract and with the sale of the team up in the air, it seems like you'd want to have the definitive answer of whether or not that was getting done before pulling the trigger on a deal of such magnitude as this.

If this has any merit, it's because Shinn needs to save money. If Shinn needs to save money, he would save a lot more if he traded him now, as opposed to the final year of his contract.

It's not going to be Shinn's problem in another month or two, if the sale of the team goes through.

That's still about 100x better than I would have estimated a couple months ago... :)
I know it's damn unlikely, but just the remote possibility is enough to make my morning.

That trumps Miller, Rudy, Joel, and Batum for CP3 and filler.

If that Harris and #3 swap for CP3 and Okafor happens that give the Nets a helluva shot at Lebron too ... assuming that there's enough cap room left to absorb his salary. Hell even without Lebron, the Nets look a whole lot better moving forward with legit size in the front court and the best point guard in the game.

I dunno ... If I'm the Hornets and I can get a top 3 pick and an all-star point guard and shed about 15 million in salary commitments that would be awfully tempting. I think it's got a way better shot of happening than what the Blazers were reportedly offering.
