I doubt we trade Dre unless we have our sights set on a different starting PG. http://twitter.com/GeryWoelfel/status/16936575828
Only thought to me is, there were rumors about Parker to Indy for that 10th pick. So if we could get it to swing for Parker, then alright. If we got it to pick Eric Bledsoe, I'll be pissed.
It won't just be #10 coming back. Some kind of player would have to be coming back to POR. Someone making about $7 mil per year, either from the Pacers themselves or a third team that can absorb that much salary.
Watch it be Miller and Pendy or Cunningham for TJ Ford and the 10. New starting PG! Gag. Problem with moving Miller is, he's one of two people we can use as contract filler in a bigger deal. If we trade him for Ford or Foster or whatever to use in another deal, we would need to do it today or tomorrow, or else wait until end of August to package them again.
#10 would have to be used to get another PG. I would assume that someone like Jeff Foster would be coming back as well.
Errr ... I think it's possible in another 3 years (assuming his handle gets really tight) but in the meantime? uhhh ...
If it were to be part of a bigger deal, though, Miller can bring us back 8.5 or so in trade, with Ford bringing back around 10.7. Maybe that extra 2 million helps make a deal possible somewhere?
Wow, it's so close. Dre's 6.7308*1.25 + .1 just barely covers Ford's 8.5. Good idea about shipping someone like Ford's larger EC to another team.
I don't. I feel that OKC actually wants to use the pick for a player they intend to keep, while POR will ship that pick out in a different deal.
