Pritchard doesn't have the ammo to make that trade. He has the 22nd pick.

He also has Aldridge, Roy and others.

Roy and #22 for Harris, Yi and #3 might be a good deal.....given Roy's knees

After seeing all of the wheeling and dealing going on around the league in the past couple of days, I get the feeling that KP is a bit like a horse in the Derby that races out ahead of the pack by the first turn, and down the stretch comes up lame and everybody but a broken down nag passes him in the home stretch.

I'm bracing myself for more young'ins that are going to sit and languish on the bench while not much happens to really bolster the team where it needs the most help -- an heir apparent point guard for Miller and some better veteran wing shooters. Who knows, maybe something gets done in free agency with our bi-annual and mid-level exceptions ... assuming we actually install a GM before the bonanza begins July 1st
    :sigh:

I'm not sure why you are sighing?

Roy is a top 5 player at his possition, but Harris might be as well. Then you add Yi and the #3 pick and I think that's a good deal.

KP's like a window shopper. He makes calls but fails to get the big deals done.

That is what happens when you love all of your young guys. His relationship with his players really hurt trade talk, I imagine.

Dealing for mediocre vets is no answer. No more rookies? How about "no more scrubs!"

If the team can't pull a blockbuster, I hope they use the draft to rebuild the bench. Trading for journeymen is rarely cost effective.

    Harris isn't a top 5 PG.

You just seem to be contradicting yourself. You say it takes big star guys to get it done in the playoffs, and then you want to trade the Blazers big star player and not get one in return(I don't consider Harris one).

I don't know why you guys can't accept the Blazers have a lot of their pieces in place. They're just still young as a group. Other than a future PG and more perimeter shooting(they're not terribly bad here, but could definitely improve), everything is fine as long as the Blazers are healthy.

I think he sighs because Roy is the face of the franchise and the only all star on the team. I hope KP gets a hell of a lot more than Harris if throwing out Roy's name. You yourself said that you "think adding any rookie doesn't make sense" yet you throw out Roy's name for Harris and the #3? You contradict yourself in the very same thread. Sigh

Edit: RT beat me to it.

You are missing his master plan. For his next trick he will replace Batum with Peja - and a dynasty will be born!

You guys are talking as if every team is "wheeling and dealing." WTF. There has only been ONE deal that has involved a rotation player so far in the past week.

    Chill.

I'd rather KP not do anything, than pull a deal that doesn't make sense, just because...

I can't wait to read all of your posts about how the Blazers flamed out in the playoffs next year. I wonder what the excuse will be? Youth? Injuries?
