I think he was pretty solid in his role, but then I really don't know the extent of influence he had so I don't really know what they're losing. If I were deluding myself believing that he was solely responsible for every positive thing that has happened the last few years I guess it would burn me more. Heres guessing he did something wrong internally that PO'd Allen and maybe we'll find out what that is some day (I'd guess it has something to do with demanding more power) but I'm sure that there are other quality options who can competently do the job. here's hoping they make another good hire STOMP

Re: KP FIRED! (merged) We are past the cake baking stage, and no longer need a draft specialist as GM...Time to get a gm who can make some quality trades. Was certainly not handled well from our perspective, but it was not a horrible move for the business.
Re: KP FIRED! (merged) Most G.M.'s suck big-time in the NBA. All of them are too afraid to make a move because if they make a mistake, they're not willing live with the consequences. So, as a result, nothing ever happens with most franchises, unless they get lucky with a #1 pick like LeBron, Carmelo, Shaq, etc.

As a result, they'll treat the public with less and less kindness and respect that has continued to deteriorate ever since Paul Allen took over ownership. I'd rather not have a TrailBlazers team if it means Paul Allen owning it, and I've had season tickets for 12 years. This crap gets old.

Re: KP FIRED! 100's of thousands of "former" TrailBlazer fans already left because of the complete lack of class shown by Paul Allen over the years. You can't explain class to someone who doesn't appreciate. Most TrailBlazer fans with integrity have already left the fanbase.
