Re: What happens with Gomes? Seems like the best move would be to send Gomes to a team with cap space to create a larger trade exception than the small one we got with Martell. The Raptors have to have one of the worst rosters in the NBA right now. They better pray for a sign-and-trade with Bosh to get some talent back.

Greater desperation as they get closer to their "championship building off-season?" A better deal to dump Beasley not emerging? Something like that. There are time effects that can change things.
Re: What happens with Gomes? I'd trade him to Toronto for Reggie Evans. Evans has a 5 million dollar expiring contract. Combined with Joel and Andre, that's 19 million in expirings. Rather do that than just waive him. Although I'd still be pushing hard for Beasley. Or, try to get Humphries and Terrence Williams from NJ.
