Aldridge is going to be an all-star by default next year.

Not that he can't earn it, though.

    Really?

    Melo
    Griffin
    Duncan
    Dirk
    Durant
    Gasol
    West
    Randolph
    Gay
    Milsap

Now assuming Griffin is as good as advertised, which one of those 10 western conference forwards is LMA definately better than? Did I miss anyone?

With Amare's knee, his eye and the fact that he plays no defense and rebounds for shit, I wonder how much patience Knicks fans are going to have when that team wins 35 games next year?

    Melo
    Durant
    Dirk
    Gasol

Those are the only 4 that will for sure be better than Aldridge next year. Aldridge is pretty much tied with everyone else besides Duncan, but he'll probably keep declining and play less and less.

Lee is a great rebounder and a below average defender. STAT is a great scorer but a horrible defender. Getting Amare is much more of a lateral move than an upgrade for the Knicks.

Only took them 3 years to do it!

Sorry about that. I should have looked a little harder that this had already been posted.

The knock on Kevin Love is his defense. Amare' is worse, the last two seasons: DRtg: 111; 109.

How about Phoenix's front office? You think Portland's is a mess. They lose a franchise player for NOTHING when they had several offers over the last year in trades. They hardly even tried to resign him. If they were not going to go all out for him, then they should have traded him. Maybe I am missing something, but I don't understand what their thought process was.

If you look at the stats, um, yeah, there were getting from Lee what they should expect from Amare. But, did Lee ever scare anybody? "OMG! It's David Lee. We are fucked tonight - no way to stop that dude!" It will be interesting to see how that works out.

    Thought process?

Money, money, money, money, money, money and after all those thoughts - money!

All the offers they got for Amare were either, total crap, or big, long deals coming back, which they didn't want. They played chicken and lost, but are likely not too sad about it. Their fallback option, roll out cheap players, don't go over the lux tax, and save money - makes the owner happy. Front office had nothing to do with it. Their hands were tied.

I'm interested in seeing how Stoudemire plays without an All-NBA PG feeding him the ball. I think this is a ridiculous contract. Probably the worst of the summer so far. I'd say Joe Johnson, but Atlanta didn't really have a choice with him.

This does make a David Lee sign and trade much more likely. NY will probably wait until LeBron and Wade commit to other teams, but after that they may be content getting young talent with upside along with a solid starter on an expiring deal.

My dream scenario would be trading Miller/Rudy for Lee

    Then trading Batum/LaMarcus/JPEC/Bayless/picks for CP3 + Posey

Aldridge is definately better than Gasol? Two time all-star, West? Have you seen Milsap's stats? He will not be better than Griffin
