...if he goes to Miami to piggy back for another ring, we better not retire his jersey #.

In fact, I'd ask Bynum to wear #34 :].

Shaq would be dumb not to come to Celtics, there he can help beat the 'Super Team' and then the Lakers + Kobe.

Any other team and I'm calling him Shaquille O'Dumb.

Burned bridges? What? Shaq never burns any bridges. He always leaves an organization with utmost respect and praises all the fans and thanks the city for supporting him.

did he? I remember he said SVG was a shitty coach, but I don't remember anything else. They would take him back, regardless, at least imo. Riley would be dumb to turn down an MLE player willing to play for vet minimum

Shaq's laker legacy would pretty much go down the shitter if he ever wore a green jersey, but it's possible.

With the Heat after veteran players on the cheap looking for a ring, some have surmised Shaquille O'Neal could be a fit for the team, even though his past relationship with the team is a little rocky.

But Michael Wallace of the Miami Herald is here to say there's no way Shaq is coming to Miami.

"Let's make one thing very clear here: Miami isn't one of those teams," he wrote. "There is absolutely no interest in a Shaq reunion from the Heat's side. Even if the burned bridges didn't exist, it just wouldn't be a good fit.

"The last thing the Heat needs is a lane-clogging, ball-hogging presence in the paint. The first thing Shaq would want is his share of touches to feel involved in the process."

We'll counter and say Shaq's attitude in Cleveland was deferential to LeBron James. There was no ball-hogging from Shaq. He was there to help LeBron win a championship and largely minded his own business otherwise.

If he kept that same style in Miami, it shouldn't be a problem.

But if the Heat have no interest, as Wallace writes, then Shaq likely isn't coming to Miami.

    Here's what Shaq said ...

Simmering differences between the Heat and Shaquille O'Neal boiled over Wednesday, with the massive center lobbing massive volleys at his former team. In a Boston Globe story, O'Neal trashed former teammates and his former coach while speaking about his move to the title-contending Suns. "We have professionals who know what to do," O'Neal said of playing for the Suns. "No one is asking me to play with Chris Quinn or Ricky Davis. I'm actually on a team again." However, O'Neal's comments struck a chord with both coach Pat Riley and Davis, as the Heat prepared for Wednesday night's game against the Knicks at Madison Square Garden, "It's sad that he says those things," Riley said before the 103-96 overtime loss. "We shared so much here, together, for three years, good and bad, three and a half years. "I just think it's sad that he's got to do that."

^ Actually he left Orlando cuz of a beef with Penny. So he's basically fucked up every situation he's been in ala Terrell Owens.

Cleveland isn't doing a S & T because they don't want Marvin's contract. Shaq is gonna have to leave on his own.
