I heard that since Gomes was partially guaranteed, Miami would have been on the hook for ~1m of his salary still.
Beasley went from a possible #1 pick in 2008 to being traded for a second round pick in 2010. Amazing.
I think a place like MIN is just what Beasley needs. He couldn't handle MIA. This will be an opportunity for him to focus on his game away from the spotlight. Unless he's into ice fishing or Prince lookalike contests, there's little else to do in the Twin Cities in the winter.
I think this is the first good move Kahn has made. Beasley for a second-rounder, I think is the deal? That's fantastic value...essentially no risk to kick the tires on a former #2 pick who's only played two seasons (and actually been somewhat productive, especially relative to his age). But the rest of that roster is a mess.
pretty sure Beasley played primarily at PF for the Heat... he's about the same size as Love ...and the right to swap future 1sts. A future Heat 1st looks to be almost a liability because of the guaranteed years and $$$ while a future Minni 1st should be quite valuable STOMP
Well, Beasely for a 2nd rounder, but also ~$5 million in cap space for a player who plays a position that was not a weakness on that team.
