If LMA can improve his game a bit, and Batum continues his development, we will have 4 players approaching or exceeding a PER of 20. Not to mention a 5th (Miller) had a PER of over 18 last season.

With Oden, Camby, Batum (and hopefully at some point, Joel) our defense should be top tier.

We're loaded. We're long. We're athletic. Let's just stay healthy and we could be a scary team.

    Yeah, I'm excited!

You're assuming the game would be called fairly. I expected playing the L*kers or the M'eat would be an exercise of 8 on 5.

I think the Thunder are a fine, young team. I just think you either overrate them, underrate the Blazers or both. The Blazers play the Lakers very well also. As far as the playoffs went, the Blazers pushed the Suns to 6 games without (IMO) their two best players. Roy returned, but had a PER under 5, so hardly counts as "there." Those Suns went on to destroy the essentially healthy Spurs.

    I agree.

However, no team is really fully healthy going into the playoffs.

So, the comparative level of health and to which players is what matters.

Phoenix won that comparison easily, and took us. Healthier, I think we get to the WCF.
